He changed his name to 'Amir'. After he embraced Islam, along with his wife and her children, met the scholars of ALHaram (Kaba Mosque)

He announced his Islam after he sold 7 millions Copies … left all that and embraced the true religion of Islam

The American singer (Chauncey Hawkins) known by (Loon), and then changed his name to (Amir), chosen the right bath before about 7 months, and visited Mecca and Medina last week.

Amir says (34 years): I was a well known singer in the American society, and I was successful in this field, so the American media classified me as one of the best ten singers in the Unites states …. Then that increased.

Also, when I was singing with the international singer (Puff Daddy), my CDs of singing was more than seven millions, and I wrote 52 different songs.

Amir adds: I said the truth when I say that I felt no happiness and satisfaction in my heart, except when
I visited the Emirates capital (Abu Dhabi) before about seven months, so I was affected by the Muslims' culture, also I was able to hear Athan (call for sala) and see people going to makes sala in mosques with the great morals that they had, and the good communications with others.

I started to ask about that religion. Is it for Arabs only? Then I found the answer that this religion is not for one nationality, rather it is a religion for human beings in general, regardless of their cultural and social background

After a long thinking, I announced my Islam and made my first sala (prayer) after I went back to New York, there my life became very different after I left singing and dancing that I was in for about 17 years. Now

I could feel the content and satisfaction that I was searching for long time ago, especially after my children and wife embraced Islam.

My enthusiasm for learning Islam and calling others to it increased after I joined the Canadian Committee for Calling to Islam in the department of well known people … I have a project for calling to Allah in this field … it is the calling the well known singers and artists to know Islam and its high principles.

While reciting the Quran … moreover, he became a caller to Allah who guides his friends

Don't be affected by Western traditions and customs

its sake.

Be proud for being a Muslim who knows his lord …. Knows his prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.

Dear brother…this singer was ignorant of Allah …. And had girls and entertainments

But he felt no happiness except after knowing his lord, the creator.

He is crying for he recognized the true bath

He embraced Islam and become a preacher

Don't imitate ignorant people, not to be like them

Commit to your religion, and avoid what Allah warns you from

Also commit to the teaching of your Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, who called you to this good … so you will be from the dwellers of paradise and you will save yourself from hell fire, we seek refuge in Allah.
